The Presidency will spend $2.1 million on remodel projects in the presidential palace.

As stated in the contract, the goal is “to eliminate contaminating elements that directly and indirectly affect health, as well as ensure a more welcoming and aesthetic environment for the user and visitors.”

The project will focus on rehabbing the offices of the president, the first lady, the vice president, the Ministry of Security, the Secretariat of Investment and the General Secretariat, among others located in the La Marina building across from the Palacio de las Garzas.

In 2016, the previous administration invested $9.3 million in remodeling projects at the presidential palace.
