Air China announced suspension of its Beijing-Houston-Panama City route through February in response to global travel restrictions imposed in the wake of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.
Panama’s Tocumen International Airport tweeted the new measure on Monday, a day after the United States announced that it would prohibit entry to foreigners and quarantine US citizens who have been in China in the last 14 days. Air China has also suspended service between Mainland China and Australia, Italy, Mongolia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Australia.
Carriers including Air Canada, Air France, Air Seoul, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta, EgyptAir, El Al Israel Airlines, Iberia, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Qantus Airways, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airways, United Parcel Service, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, among others, have cut service or capacity to China.
