Petroterminal de Panamá spilled crude oil while unloading the Neptune Moon ship in Bocas del Toro on Sunday.

The company deployed its contingency plan, stopping operations and setting up a containment barrier. A subsequent inspection by the Panama Maritime Authority, Panama Aquatic Resources Authority, Ministry of the Environment and Petroterminal staff indicated that the coast was not affected.

The company operates hydrocarbon storage and handling terminals on the Pacific (Charco Azul, Puerto Armuelles) and Atlantic (Chiriquí Grande, Bocas del Toro) coasts.
